Mismanagement Meeting – March 29, 2016 – 6PM

Wanted to get a general meeting to discuss ideas, suggestions, complaints, etc… as well as discuss mismanagement positions and planning of upcoming events. Date is negotiable to accomodate as many as possible.

From da GM: Its time for mismanagement. Meeting will start promptly at 7:30pm. Thirstday mismanagement to follow or at 8:30pm, whichever happens later.

From Wicker Park/Bucktown: Hop on the 50 Damen bus and ride that sucker north to Diversey. Grab the 76 Diversey bus going east and exit the bus at Lincoln.

Last night a special mismanagement meeting was held at O’Malley’s West to discuss the proposition of dipping into the Chicago H3 Hash Cash fund in the amount of $400 for the upcoming 1800th run. Snatchsquatch opened the meeting by addressing those in attendance with facts and figures about the current state of the Chicago H3 finances in order to dispel some rumors that had been making their way around the hash since the previous mismanagement meeting.

Firstly, it was then noted that Chicago H3 had $1,271 in Hash Cash in the banks and that Chicago H3 also had $816 worth of haberdashery in its inventory at the moment. It was then noted that a one-time pledge of $400 to the funds for the 1800th run would not break the Chicago H3 bank by any stretch of the imagination, nor would it interfere with the Chicago H3’s ability to cover the cost of any emergencies. The issue of purchasing new whistles had been brought up at the prior mismanagement meeting and Snatchsquatch noted that there are still 12 whistles available at the moment and that there were 32 whistles in the inventory when he took over in March of 2011, which means that in 17 months 20 whistles have been given out – the need for more whistles was noted as being important, but not pressing.

Lastly, it was noted that the 1800th run’s finances are already in order – Snatchsquatch and Salty Gash both noted that the budget for the 1800th run was set before regoes were taken and that there is no need for the extra finances in order to cover budgetary shortfalls. Snatchsquatch noted that the original idea was to pitch in some extra cash for the rental of a dunk-tank or a bouncy castle, but that might not be possible due to the late date – instead the money will likely be spent on additional beer at the on-after at O’Donnell’s or on upgrading the quality of beer at the event proper. Ultimately, where the money will go is being left up to Salty Gash and the rest of the 1800th run planning committee.

At this point in the meeting the floor was opened for questions, comments, and concerns. After no questions, comments, or concerns were raised, the issue was put to a vote.

The measure passed with a vote of 8-0 with Snatchsquatch and Salty Gash abstaining.

Chicago HHH Mismanagement, Drinking Practice, & Wingsday

Wednesday 8/8 – 7:00 PM

Venue: O’Malley’s West – 2249 N. Lincoln Ave

From da GM: As everybody knows, CH3 has the 12th Annual Power of the Pussy coming up very quickly (rego already). Since it is also CH3’s 1800th run (and since CH3 has no big expenses in the foreseeable future), I would like to propose that CH3 dips into the hash cash a bit so that we can make this year’s event bigger and better than ever. Normally all of CH3’s big events are self-sustaining, and the Ladies of PoP have budgeted this year’s event so that they in no way need this money in order to pull off the event, I am merely proposing using some of the hash cash that we’ve collected to boost the funding of the event so that we can do something special. I’ve spoken with Salty Gash and an investment of $250 would cover the cost of renting a pig roaster, but I propose going as high as $400 in order to allow for some additional libations at the on-after party at O’Donnel’s (since we will have to leave the park at sundown). This will be the only item on the agenda, and we will have time for what I’m sure will be a lively debate.

From Wicker Park/Bucktown: Take the 73 Armitage bus over to Halsted. Transfer to the 8 Halsted bus and ride it North to Belden. Walk a block East to Lincoln and head South a half a block – bar is on the East side of the street.

Chicago Hash Mismanagement – 6/8

Holy cow, has it really been three whole months since the last mismanagement meeting? Yes, yes it has. Luckily for me the hash pretty much runs itself (with me only having to yell at everyone else to get stuff done every now and again). With that in mind, I’d like to gather up the usual suspects for another mismanagement meeting at O’Malley’s West on Wednesday, June 8th, at 7pm. We’ve been going there pretty regularly for Wingsday, so you already know that they’ve got cheap food and beers on Wednesday nights (just in case you needed more motivation to come out)

Here are some of the items that we’ll be discussing:
Day-to-Day Mismanagement: Weekly Attendance, Hash Cash Situation, etc.

Message from Your Friendly Neighborhood GM

Greeting everybody!
As you’ve all heard by now the Chicago Hash House Harriers have made one giant mistake and elected me to be the role of your new GM. You fools, do you not realize what you have done!? Of course not.

The good news is that the Chicago Hash House Harriers aren’t going anywhere (especially not Waukesha) – the bad news is that we need to have a mismanagement meeting and go over a few things. So, we’re going to be having a mismanagement meeting next Wednesday (3/9) at Cinner’s (4757 N. Talman – Rockwell Brown Line) – they have cheap beers and excellent Cincinnati-style chili to eat. Here are some of the things that we need to talk about:
State of the Hash (finances, attendance, etc)
Mismanagement Positions (hare razors, RA, etc)
Haberdashery (inventory and new ideas)
Public Affairs (business cards, twitter, website, etc)
Upcoming Events (Polish Constitution Day, Memorial Day, PoP)

Just a quick note to let you know there is a Mismanagement meeting coming up soon.

Why: because we haven’t had a meeting in a while

Hey ya wanks,
It’s been a while since we’ve had a MisManagement meeting, so I figure next week is as good a time as any to have one.

The meeting will be at Lion Head Pub (2251 N. Lincoln) at 7pm on July 21.

Here are a few things I have in mind for the agenda so far:

State of Hash Funds
Habadashery
I still have Anthrax shirts for some reason. If you or someone you know HAS NOT picked theirs up, I’ll be selling it.
We bought extra PoP mugs in honor of the 10th anniversary. The left over ones will be sold for $5 each.
CH3 and TH3 teamed up to create a new moisture wicking shirt. These are currently on sale for $18.
Open dates for upcoming hashes.
This is all I have so far as no one has brought any other issues to my attention. If you have anything you’d like me to consider discussing shoot me an email and we’ll figure something out.
