The Chicago Marathon attracts thousands of people from all over the world to the beautiful city of Chicago to pound some pavement in hopes of completing the 26.2 mile course without pulling a Pheidippides and dying immediately after. In honor of those dumb enough to attempt this feat, the Chicago Hash House Harriers gather on course to hand out a delicious beer to participants. The Chicago Hash House Harriers typically gather near 33rd and LaSalle in the morning and since the Chicago Marathon takes place on a Sunday, the Chicago Hash House Harriers then attend our regularly scheduled hash in the afternoon.
