From da Hares: We’ll be starting extra early for this one, as the hash will be meeting up with the boys from Tailgate 32 before starting out hangover trail. This will be A to B with transportation for whatever you need to the end.

From da GM: For those who are too hungover from the main event or just too lazy to walk more than five minutes from an El stop to hash, the on-after will be Four Treys (3333 N. Damen) and you’re more than welcome to join us there once we’re done. And no, we won’t be running straight to Four Treys from the tailgate, we’ll be running to an undisclosed El stop, at which point we’ll all take the CTA to the on-after.

From Lincoln Park/Lakeview: Red Line to Roosevelt. Hoof it east over to Michigan Ave and hop on the 3 King Drive Bus heading south. Ride that pony down to 31st St. Hoof it east to Moe Drive. Head north just a touch and you’ll find the entrance to the tailgate parking lot. Look for the Tailgate 32 RV for the start of trail.
From Wicker Park/Bucktown: Blue Line to Jackson. Transfer to the Red Line and then head south to Roosevelt. Hoof it east over to Michigan Ave and hop on the 3 King Drive Bus heading south. Ride that pony down to 31st St. Hoof it east to Moe Drive. Head north just a touch and you’ll find the entrance to the tailgate parking lot. Look for the Tailgate 32 RV for the start of trail.

Hop in your hooptie and cruise to 31st and Moe Drive. Pay out the ass for Bears tailgating parking.

From da GM: This is it, the main event. We’ll have an especially shitty trail through the heart of downtown Chicago, awesome food, a t-shirt, tag, and hazmat suit, and the bar all to ourselves for this event.

From Lincoln Park/Lakeview: Brown Line to Quincy/Wells. Head downstairs and hoof it South on Wells to the bar.
From Wicker Park/Bucktown: Blue Line to LaSalle. Head upstairs and hoof it West on Congress to Wells and then North to the bar.

Driving
Hop in your hooptie and cruise to Wells and Congress. There might be parking, but let’s be honest, you’re not driving to this one.

From da Hares: We have two trail options for you – you can choose from a typical Chicago trail with two beer stops, or you can choose a pub crawl trail with pre-arranged drink specials. Both groups will then meet up at the on-in for several hours of drinking and debauchery. Both of these options are A-B and runners will have your bags and all other necessities transported for you.

From da GM: For those possibly coming into town late, have other obligations earlier in the evening, or inclined to get lost on trail when a city uses a freaking grid system – this hash will be winding up at the O’Malley’s West (2249 N. Lincoln Ave) just down the street from Irish Eyes. We’ll have the upstairs to ourselves starting at 10PM and have beer and food available. Don’t be afraid to join us later if you can.

From Lincoln Park/Lakeview: Brown Line to Diversey. Hoof it South on Sheffield and then turn South on Lincoln. Bar will be on the East side of the street.
From Wicker Park/Bucktown: 73 Armitage Bus East to the Armitage Brown Line. Transfer to the El and take the Brown Line North to Diversey. Hoof it South on Sheffield and then turn South on Lincoln. Bar will be on the East side of the street.

Driving
Hop in your hooptie and cruise to Lincoln and Lill. This is an A to B trail and this is Lincoln Park, so you’ve going to have to walk back to your car to feed the meter.

Nothing says that the holidays are just around the corner like donning your finest hazmat suit and your favorite santa hat and romping around downtown Chicago trying to scare the hell out of all the holiday shoppers. Now in our eleventh year, The Great Chicago Anthrax Scare & Santa Hat Run is back once again in 2012.

We’ve got a truly memorable weekend in store for everyone this time out, so don’t be shy – there are only 130 spaces available so be sure to rego right away for this disaster of biblical proportions!

You have two pricing options for this weekend – the first is an all-inclusive package that covers the cost of trails on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The second option covers only the cost of Saturday’s main event. Don’t worry though, if you don’t know your schedule in advance you can pay at the door for all events, though you will wind up paying a little extra if you can’t make up your mind early.

Coming in from out of town? Not to worry. There are plenty of options for getting to and from Chicago. You can always fly in O’Hare (ORD) or Midway (MDW), take the Amtrack in to Union Station, take the Mega Bus, or you could even carpool up with your closest hash friends.

Need crash space? Don’t worry about that either – shoot Two Girls, One Cupcake an email by 5pm on Monday, December 10th and she’ll coordinate with the rest of the Chicago H3 group to set you up with the perfect crash space partner (after that you’re on your own). Let her know how many people are coming, what nights you need crash space, and if you have any specific requests. If you’d rather find your own crash space you’re also welcome to post a message either in the comments, in our Yahoo! Group, on our Facebook page, via e-mail, or over our twitter, and we’ll do our best to set you up with a welcoming hasher. If you don’t want to stay with hasher, that’s cool too – the Chicago H3 suggests finding a room at the Travelodge Downtown Chicago as it is just a few blocks from the Main Event on Saturday. You can also try the Days Inn Lincoln Park or at the Chicago Getaway Hostel, but be advised that no group rate has been procured from these institutions.

From da GM: This is it, the moment you’ve all been waiting for. Kegs will be tapped promptly at 12 noon with chalk talk set to take place at 1PM. The ladies have assured me that they’ve planned an immaculately shitty trial with multiple beer stops, a dazzling array of games, & delicious food to stuff your faces with! Be sure to bring some shiggy socks and a dry bag with you – this trail is going to be nasty!

From Lincoln Park/Lakeview: Hop on the Red Line and ride that puppy North to Berwyn. Go downstairs and jump onto the 92 Foster bus. Get good and comfortable. Exit the bus at 4635 W. Foster, cross the street, and walk through the trees into LaBagh Woods. Grove #2 is the Southernmost grove.

From Wicker Park/Bucktown: Hop on the Blue Line and ride that puppy out to Jefferson Park. Transfer over to the 92 Foster bus and ride that puppy East to 4635 W. Foster. Cross the street and walk through the trees into LaBagh Woods. Grove #2 is the Southernmost grove.

We had to move the start time up because we’ve only got the park until sunset, but once the sun goes down, the party will continue at O’Donnell’s (4500 N Elston Ave), just a short walk from the park and another one of our favorite bars here in Chicago.

From da GM: Start your Power of the Pussy Weekend off in style with a visit to one of our favorite Chicago bars, the Hidden Shamrock. The festivities will open at 7PM with beer and pizza and good company, but that’s only the half of it, as we’ll be leaving for trail at the ridiculous hour of 10PM. There will be both a walker and a runners trail provided, but don’t drink too much beforehand because everyone who stays back at the bar will miss out on multiple beer stops, an outdoor circle, and you’ll have to buy your own booze at the Hidden Shamrock while we’re gone. If you’re running late and need to catch up, don’t worry, updates on the pack’s location will be placed on our CH3 twitter feed (@chicagoh3).

From Wicker Park/Bucktown: Hop on the 72 North Ave bus and head East. At North and Clybourn hop off the bus, but don’t go downstairs into the train station. Instead, transfer over to the 8 Halsted bus traveling North and ride that puppy to Diversey.

Hop in your hooptie and cruise to Diversey and Halsted, since this trail is on a Friday night there isn’t going to be any parking. Not that you should drive to this hash anyway, since we’ll be starting so late.

Big Top POP (Power of the Pussy XII)

Bust out your clown shoes and be ready to show off your sword-swallowing skills, as the Chicago Hash House Harriers celebrate 12 years of Power of the Pussy and our 1800th run. Fire-breathers, contortionists, and jugglers are all welcome as our theme this year will be everyone’s favorite traveling band of misfits, the circus! Our GM Snatchsquatch at Just Ehhh will be teaming up to lay trail starting at Gambler’s (4908 N. Pulaski) and ending somewhere completely different. What’s that? A woods run AND an A to B run all in one? Say it isn’t so!? Hash cash will once again get your both beer and food and we promise to let you guys go on time to make the evening’s festivities.

Environmentally-Friendly Public Transit 🙂 From Lincoln Park/Lakeview: Take the Red Line North to Lawrence. Head downstairs and hop on the 81 Lawrence bus heading West. Ride that sucker all the way to Pulaski. Resist the temptation to hit up the Admiral Theater (that place is BYOB anyway) and hoof it a block North on Pulaski to Gambler’s. Bar is on the West side of the road. From Wicker Park/Bucktown: Take the Blue Line to Irving Park. Take the exit down to Pulaski and hop on the 53 Pulaski bus heading North. Ride that sucker to Ainslie and you’ll find the bar on the West side of the road.

Driving 🙁 Hop in your hooptie and cruise to Ainslie and Pulaski. Park your car and hope that the B isn’t too far from the bar so that you can walk back to it after trail.
