Anthrax 2019! (CH3 #2254, 2255, 2256)

The line of ‘Make Anthrax Great Again,’ the phrase, that was mine, I came up with it about a year ago, and I kept using it, and everybody’s using it, they are all loving it. I don’t know, I guess I should copyright it, maybe I have copyrighted it.

There will be trails. These will be, the best trails you’ve ever run, or that anyone has ever run. There will be a ballbuster–the longest ballbuster, an eagle–the most eagle there has been, a turkey–very turkey, so turkey in fact, I’m telling you, and even a walkers trail. I heard there will be walkers. I’m just saying we’re probably going to have walkers. Walkers are “hashers”, just not the best.

Your rego gets you these incredible trails and a fabulous taco buffet. I have a great relationship with tacos and I love Hispanics! There is also an open bar because there will be incredible, out of control, big league hashers that love beer. There will also be some very, very special beer, and frankly, you’re incredibly lucky to have this beer. It was very, very easy for me to get this beer, but I’m telling you, you’re very, very lucky. You’ll also get some fantastic gimmies. Great gimmies. A deadline will be posted when there is a cutoff for personalized gimmies. The pathetic, rude latecomers will not get top gimmies, and those hashers are weak, really.

Registration is open! We will have extraordinary security–the top security, honestly this security is tremendous–to prevent the crooked QCH3 hashers from taking up the staggering amount of phenomenal Chicago hashers ability to rego at the best rate. After I make Chicago First, the rest of the boring kennels can rego.

Where should I stay? We have a block of rooms reserved at the Travelodge at 65 E. Harrison St. Mention “Hash House Harriers” for a discount. A room should be $92 per night. It’s close to the main event venue, but many other choices are available in the downtown (loop) area. Consult your favorite booking website.

8:00 PM to 11:59 PM – Drink hash beer at Redmond’s $$$ or upgrade to a drink package for $20

From Wicker Park/Bucktown: Take the 72 North Ave bus east. You can then take the 8 Halsted, 22 Clark, 36 Broadway, or the 156 LaSalle bus going north and then hoof it to the bar. Its about the same commute regardless. (Approx. 45 min)

Divvy
Park your bike at Hampton Ct/Diversey or Stockton Dr/Wrightwood stations – both are about equidistance to the bar.

Driving
Hop in your hooptie and cruise to Diversey and Sheridan – there is free parking in Lincoln Park to the southeast of the bar, but you should leave your car there overnight – don’t drive home drunk.

Hello all you douchebags and douchebaguettes. Things are moving, wheels are in motion, restraining orders are being filed, etc, etc… But as far as registration for the best Anthrax of 2016 goes, look for a live rego site Wednesday morning at approximately 11 am CST.

From da GM: Anthrax weekend concludes with a joint CH3/SCH3 “Holiday Hash” – this may be a regular hangover/fatboy trail, or it might be more complicated.

From da Hare: Sunday will feature a full trail (plus walkers trail) with a beer stop and “holiday” shot stop. Pack will be on out at about 12:45, and trail will be about 3 miles. Lots of food after and “closing ceremonies” will be after the Bears game is over. Menu is vegetarian friendly.

From Wicker Park/Bucktown: Take the Blue Line out to Irving Park. Take the Pulaski exit from the platform and transfer to the 53 Pulaski bus going north. Exit the bus at Ainslie and the bar is across the street. (Approx. 30 min)

Driving
Hop in your hooptie and cruise to Pulaski and Ainslie. Parking should be free on Pulaski, but you may be required to be the shag wagon, so be prepared.

From da Hares: On-Out is PROMPTLY at 1PM. Show up early enough that you have to time to get your swag and don your hazmat suit.

From da GM: Kick of Anthrax weekend in style! We’ll have a $25 wristband package at the bar from 7-11PM that will get you as much beer as you can handle, or you’re more than able to pay-as-you-go for whatever drinks you want.

Lifa and It’s Too Soft will be setting a regular A-to-A hash trail with on-out at 7:30.

For those wanting to stay warm and/or get the most out of their wristband deal, there will be a large contingent of hashers staying at the bar to drink and socialize.

From Wicker Park/Bucktown: Grab the 50 Damen bus going north. Transfer to the 76 Diversey bus at Damen/Clybourn/Diversey. Take the bus east to Pine Grove. Hoof it half a block over to bar. (Approx. 40 min)

Driving
Hop in your hooptie and cruise to Diversey and Pine Grove. You may be lucky and be able to find parking in Lincoln Park, but I doubt it.
