From da Hares: Amazing Race meets Beer Olympics. We start at Celtic Crown where you are split into teams and given clues to various locations in the area. At these locations, your team must complete a task (drinking related, duh) before you earn your tag and can move on. You may complete these in any order. After the last clue, we’ll end back at the bar where a winner will be declared and given a prize.

Cherry POP (Power of the Pussy XVI)

Power of the Pussy turns 16 years old! That’s right, she’s finally legal boys (well, not in Illinois). It’s time once again for our annual “Power of the Pussy” celebration as everyone’s favorite group of harriettes takes the reins and plan a truly memorable weekend for everyone.

In celebration of it being 16 years old, the theme for this year’s Power of the Pussy will be “Cherry POP: Super Sweet Sixteen” – join Chicago H3 as our lovely ladies try to remember a time when they were looking forward to high school dances and losing their virginity underneath the bleachers to the varsity quarterback. Super Sweet Sixteen wouldn’t be cumplete without fancy dresses, tiaras and red carpets (but does it match the drapes?) so costumes, as always, are not only allowed but encouraged – hell, there will even be prizes for best dressed.

Your rego gets you plenty of cold beer before during and after trail, delicious food at the on-in, an exclusive giveaway (provided you rego early enough) and a spectacular shitty trail through the finest city in the world. If you rego for the entire weekend you’ll get access to Friday night’s “Beer Journey Foreplay” as well as Sunday’s “Plan B Hangover.” Not only that, but you’ll have a collection of the coolest harriettes you’ll ever meet showing you a good time.

Commemorate t-shirts will be available for an additional cost, so please stay tuned for information regarding their availability.

The first 16 people to rego will receive an exclusive price of $40 for the Main Event and $45 for the weekend – after that the price is $45/$50 until 6/26. If you’re lazy you’ll be charged $50/$55 until 7/24. If you wait until the week of to rego, it’ll cost you $55/$60. If you show up the day of and try to pay, it’ll cost you a whopping $65/$73. Power of the Pussy is worth it at any price, but don’t say the ladies didn’t warn you about the price increases. Be smart, rego early.

From Wicker Park/Bucktown: Take the 50 bus north to Diversey. Transfer to the 76 Diversey bus going east. Exit at the Brown Line station, hoof it north on Sheffield and then east to 933 W Wolfram. Go around back and take the stairs to the roofdeck. (Approx. 30 min)

Driving
Hop in your hooptie and cruise to Wolfram and Sheffield. Hoof it up to the roofdeck and plead with Its Too Soft to give you a guest parking pass, then hoof it back down to your car to discover that you’ve already been ticketed. City’s got to get paid somehow!

Exit the train at Cumberland, hoof it south to Bryn Mawr, and then west to East River Rd. Go into the Catherine Chevalier Woods Forest Preserve and we will be at Grove #3, which is around the bend from the main entrance/parking lot. (Approx. 1 hour 15 min)

From Wicker Park/Bucktown: Grab the Blue Line out towards O’Hare. Exit the train at Cumberland, hoof it south to Bryn Mawr, and then west to East River Rd. Come out and join the Chicago Hash House Harriers as we kick the Summer of 2016 off in style with our annual Memorial Day Celebration. This year we’ve got three days of shitty trails, local beer, delicious food, and debauchery planned for your entertainment.

Also included in your rego is a custom giveaway (details forthcumming). We’re printing up a super-limited edition piece of haberdashery for this event, but since you already have too many hash shirts, it’s an add-on to your regularly priced rego.

Looking to save some money? Be sure to rego early for the entire weekend (Main Event & Weekend price will increase $10 after the first 30 regos and then again at 60 regos). Online Registration will disappear on Thursday, May 26, so if you’re not regoed by then you’ll have to pay the walk-up prices listed to the right – you snooze you lose, bitches, and this is your punishment for making it impossible for us to tell how many people to buy food and booze for.

Speaking of booze and food? We’ll have a traditional Memorial Day cookout on Sunday, and the delicious spread you’ve come to expect from It’s Too Soft’s Roofdeck on Monday. We promise that you’ll be given the chance to properly gorge yourself after trail on each of the three days. We’ll also have a mix of local craft beer kegs from the usual suspects (specifics TBD, check back soon) for you to drink before, after, and during trail on each of the three days as well – remember to bring your favorite vessel with you.

If you’re looking to save yourself even more money, we’d love to feature your homemade side-dish or desert as well – you can sign up to bring a potluck dish. If you sign up (by Thursday, May 26) to bring a potluck dish to share to the main event we’ll give you $5 cold cash money back when you arrive.

From da GM: Anthrax weekend concludes with a joint CH3/SCH3 “Holiday Hash” – this may be a regular hangover/fatboy trail, or it might be more complicated.

From da Hare: Sunday will feature a full trail (plus walkers trail) with a beer stop and “holiday” shot stop. Pack will be on out at about 12:45, and trail will be about 3 miles. Lots of food after and “closing ceremonies” will be after the Bears game is over. Menu is vegetarian friendly.

Driving
Hop in your hooptie and cruise to Pulaski and Ainslie. Parking should be free on Pulaski, but you may be required to be the shag wagon, so be prepared.

Lifa and It’s Too Soft will be setting a regular A-to-A hash trail with on-out at 7:30.

For those wanting to stay warm and/or get the most out of their wristband deal, there will be a large contingent of hashers staying at the bar to drink and socialize.
