Chicago HHH #1513.5 Post PoP Hangover Hash “Kegs & Eggs on the Skydeck”

Hare(s): Chicken Stiffer
Venue: Party Central Skydeck – 933 W Wolfram rooftop
Hash Cash: $9 Includes a mercifully short trail, lotsa beer and FOOD!!!

We’re currently planning another visitor-friendly Sunday “kegs & eggs” hangover hash at Fuji’s on the Party Central Skydeck similar to Post 1500. Note mid-October is NOT the same as mid-July in Chicago so it might devolve into an NFL gamewatching beerfest indoors after the run which is fine as I can setup the multiple HDTV’s into the “sports bar configuration” I use for Bears games and the Super Bowl. Note Bears play Vikings at Noon so parts of the game might get viewed on trail!

As there will be a keg involved, the early birds can see in person the now-legendary Party Central “power keg hoist” in action!

Public Transit –
From Lincoln Park/Lakeview: Red Line to Fullerton & truck it four blocks North to Wolfram up Sheffield or Brown Line to Wellington and two blocks South down Sheffield to Wolfram.

From Wicker Park/Bucktown: Blue Line to Logan Square, hoof it three blocks North to Diversey, and Diversey 76 bus East to Sheffield, 1 blk North to Wolfram.

Last Monday Hash before we cutover To Sundays celebration!

Bonus points if you actually know who this bar and street are named after without having to look it up on the internet!

From Lincoln Park/Lakeview: Red Line to Berwyn, walk four blocks East on Berwyn to Clark and then one block South on Clark to Farragut (yes the cross street, ergo the name of the bar!) or if you’re really lazy (or fearing horrifically long trail you can catch the Foster 92 bus four blocks West to Clark, Farragut is the E-W street 1blk North of Foster).

From Wicker Park/Bucktown: Blue Line to Red Line any way you can either Eastbound bus or hoof it to Jackson. Red Line to t Berwyn and walk west on Foster. September 31 Hash

First Annual Chicago End of Summer Celebration Hash on “September 31”

Chicago Run #1511

Chicago mismanagement, after discussing at length the dilemma caused by the fact there are two weeks between the last Monday of September and first Sunday of October (our traditional Fall cutover) and not wanting to skip an entire week, it was initially decided to pull Sundays forward to September 30th.

The it occurred to us that instead of gloomily declaring the start of Fall earlier, it would be more fun to extend Summer one week later and do a final Summer Monday night hash in the interim week. But how to play within the rules? The answer – let’s declare Monday, October 1 to be honorary “September 31” (no we were not drinking at the time we thought of this!).

Therefore it is with great pleasure that we announce Monday, September 31 to be our final Monday night hash of Summer 2007 and First Annual End of Summer Hash. As this is a new date it is currently open for hares so anyone interested in haring please contact the hare raisers – Batteries Not Included & Mouthful of Meat

Sunday 9/2/2007 Meet @ 2pm, Out @ 2:30pm
Chicago HHH #1507 3rd Annual Labor Day Hash @ Party Central
Hare(s): It’s Too Soft
Venue: Party Central Skydeck – 933 W Wolfram, Chicago
Hash Cash: $10 (includes Labor Day BBQ at on-in)

The Sunday afternoon classic (Monday, Labor Day is once again reserved for the usual recovery time) is back for 2007! Chicago HHH returns to our regular Monday night schedule for the rest of September after this.

This year’s theme is “Grand Outdoor Spaces”. Since the Skydeck @ Party Central first opened in the Summer of 2006 a few friends have been inspired to also have an “outdoor space” in their next homes. The beer checks on this trail will include two of the newest additions to the Party Central franchise.

A-B-C-A trail. IMPORTANT – Bring your CTA card as trail will end near an L stop which is how you get back to Party Central unless you want to run a ten mile trail!

As always, BBQ cookout at the on-in, ergo the $10 hash cash, so come hungry. We’ll have food.

Please note also that the venue is a private residence, not a bar so the hare would really appreciate his place not get trashed by the hash!

Public Transit –
From Lincoln Park/Lakeview: Red Line to Fullerton, walk five blocks North to Diversey or transfer to Brown Line Wellington, walk three blocks South to Wolfram

From Wicker Park/Bucktown: Blue Line to Logan Square, walk three blocks North to Diversey, take Diversey 76 Bus East to Sheffield, hoof it 1 blk North to Wolfram.
