Venue: Steelworkers Park – 87th St. at the Lakefront
Hare: Snatchsquatch
From the Hare: Bring long sleeves and long pants, as there will be some serious shiggy – trees, shrugs, fences, etc. Dress for an outdoor circle, and there is a bathroom available at the rock climbing wall. There is parking available if you want to drive/carpool.
Event: Steel Works Run
Transit: – Metra Electric (South Chicago Branch) – get off at the 87th Street Station and hoof it East. It’s about a mile’s walk. Train departs Millennium Station at 12:40, arrives 87th St. at 1:14.
– Metra Electric (Main Branch) – get off at 83rd/Avalon Park and transfer to the 87th Street Bus going East. Get off the bus at Buffalo and hoof it east about a mile. Train departs Millenium Station at 12:10, arrives 87th St. at 12:35.
– Red Line – exit at 87th, transfer to the 87th street bus. Exit at Buffalo and hoot if about a mile.
– J14 Jeffrey Jump Bus – take that South and you have three transfer options: You can get the 71st Street Bus at 71st, or the 87th Street bus at 87th, you’ll then hoof it about a mile to the park. You can also transfer to the 30 South Chicago bus at 83rd Street. You’ll then get off at 92nd & Mackinaw and have to hoof it about a mile north along LSD and then East into the park.
