Anthrax 2021 registration is now live CLOSED!
Registration for the main event on Saturday is now closed. You may still attend any of the pre- and post-lube runs on a walk-up basis. See the schedule below for hash cash pricing.
All of our venues have been secured and they are all within a few miles of each other. Visitors are encouraged you to look into Airbnb properties near the Saturday venue (Michelle’s Ballroom). Neighborhoods to look at are Avondale, Roscoe Village and Lakeview. If you know a Chicago hasher please feel free to arrange something with them as mismanagement will not be organizing crash space this year.
COVID-19 Vaccination is MANDATORY! You will be asked to provide some sort of proof at check in (photo on a phone is fine). Also, Illinois is still under an indoor mask mandate so please wear a mask indoors when not actively eating or drinking.
As always, the CH3 Code of Conduct is in effect. Please review it and comply.

Thursday Dec. 2nd
7:00 PM – Run with the Thirstday HHH at Lottie’s Pub – 1925 W. Cortland St. , hared by Hooch Before Cooch. $10
Friday Dec. 3rd
6:00 AM – Day drinking on your own at any of the many watering holes in Chicago. Why not check out Chicago’s Christkindlmarket?
7:00 PM – Anthrax Prelube Trail (3~4 miles), hared by Lifa and helpers. A-to-A trail at McGee’s Tavern & Grill – 950 W. Webster Ave. $$$ or $15 walk-up. By CTA, use Armitage (Brown & Purple Lines) or Fullerton (Red, Brown, Purple) stations. McGee’s is halfway between them, right next to the tracks.
8:00 PM to 11:00 PM – Enjoy pizza and hash beer in our private space at McGee’s $$$ or upgrade to a nicer drink package for $20. Hash beer will flow until midnight but our private space may open up to other customers at 11 PM.
Midnight to Dawn – Continue drinking on your own.
Saturday Dec. 4th
12:00 PM – Check-in and pick up your gimmies at Metropolitan Brewing – 3057 N. Rockwell St. The closest CTA access is via the 77 Belmont bus. $$$
1:00 – On out for main event trails:
☞ Ball Buster (8+ miles*), hared by Cockholm Syndrome and Pony Pound Her
☞ Eagle Trail (5~8 miles*), hared by Garmin and Mommy’s Little accident
☞ Turkey Trail (3~5 miles*), hared by Brother Incizor and Choke and Stroke
☞ Walkers Trail (<3 miles*), hared by Soul Taco
* Distances are approximate “true trail” miles and may be reduced if the weather sucks.
4:00 PM – Return to Metropolitan Brewing for a post-run beer $$$
5:30 PM – Take a 10-minute stroll over to our second venue, Michelle’s Ballroom – 2800 W. Belmont Ave., where we will conduct circle and serve up some delicious food (TBD, perhaps tacos) along with yet more beer. We’ll party until we run out of cash or the management tells us it’s time to go. $$$
Afterwards – Wander to a neighborhood bar and continue drinking on your own. Recommended: DMen Tap and Reed’s Local, both open until 3 AM.
Sunday Dec. 5th
10:00 AM – Wake up and grab brunch and a Bloody Mary on your own.
Noon – Manthrax Hangover Run (runners, walkers) hared by Rusty Grundel & Dr. Cockvorkian. A-to-A at Roscoe’s – 3356 N. Halsted St. $$$ or $15 walk-up. By CTA, Belmont (Red, Brown Lines) and Addison (Red) are each a short distance away.
2:00 PM – Circle Up! $$$
3:30 PM – Lunch may be served (still negotiating with the venue). $$$
6:00 PM – Sing your dirtiest song that doesn’t include the words “swing low”, then GTFO until Anthrax 2022! Or, stick around for a few days to run with these esteemed hash clubs:
Monday Dec. 6th
7:00 PM – Run with the Chicago First Crack of the Moon H3 at Skinner Park – Meet on the north side of the park near Monroe & Loomis Streets. Hared by Bert’s Special Friend & Meat Inside Her. On-out at 7:30 PM. $5
Tuesday Dec. 7th
6:30 PM – Run with the 4×2 H3 at the corner of Hubbard St. & Des Plaines St. , hared by Cockholm Syndrome. On-out is at exactly 7 PM, so don’t be late. $2 for 2 beers.
