You asked (and asked, and asked, and asked…) and now you finally
get an answer:
Post-ball morning-after-the-night-before hangover hash, SATURDAY,
March 5, 2 p.m., at the Celtic Crown, 4301 N. Western. Hash cash only
$5, since this is a not-regularly-scheduled hash. Short trail ending
back at the Celtic Crown, where food specials include special prices
on wings and steak. (Perfect hangover food!) For those fools who stay
late and keep the party going, the Celtic Crown will start karaoke at
10 p.m.
The traditional outgoing GM’s “Screw You, I’m Not in Charge Anymore,
Ha!” hash will be Sunday, March 6, at 2 p.m., at some special secret
location which Virtual, in his lawyery wisdom, has not yet disclosed.
Maybe we can get him drunk this weekend and force him to tell us?

With these two evil minds in collaboration, this is bound to be TRAIL OF THE YEAR! It is highly suggested that you bring your NASTY SHOES and be prepared for some Shiggy in the woods! I suppose that we will try to lay some kind of TURKEY trail for those hashers that are scared of a little dirt, mud, snow, water, ice, bacteria….. Anyway….this is one that is NOT TO MISS!
This will be an all woods hash, nastyness depending on the weather and snow or water cover on the ground. It will also feature many beer stops in an entirely new and fun fashion. We think you will like it. $6
To get there by public transportation, take the Blue Line to Cumberland. Exit left, south, around the rotunda and down the stairs. Go south through the multilevel garage to Bryn Mawr. Go right, west to the Forest Preserve and meet at the first shelter inside the Forest Preserve.
To get there by car, take I 90 the kennedy Expressway to Cumberland, exit south. Stay to the right and at the bottom of the hill is a light. take a right turn, a hair pin turn and follow it around as it eventually goes west. This is Bryn Mawr. Follow it to the end, East River Rd. Enter the Forest Preserve and park by the first shelter.

True to the traditions of Valentine’s Day Quad Hash the hares have secured a location close to the IL-WI border adjacent to some of Lake County’s finest Forest Preserves so expect some shiggy, although we’ll provide turkey/eagle splits if we’re feeling generous..
Hash cash will be $7 for everyone, and the bar management will keep the kitchen open for a limited menu of standard pub grub that you can order on your own.
Directions:
From Milwaukee, take I-94 East (South across the IL-WI state line). Immediately past the state line exit onto Hwy 41 (note the exit will be on your left!) and proceed South approximately three miles. Bar will be just past Wadsworth Rd (second light after the border) on your left about 30 yards South of the intersection.
From Chicago, take I-94/294 West (North) and exit at Grand Avenue Eastbound towards the Lake. Turn left (North) at Milwaukee Avenue which is the first light past Great America. Follow Milwaukee Ave North until it merges with 41. Follow 41 North about 4 miles. Bar will be on your right just before Wadsworth Rd. If you get to the interesection with the Citgo station, you’ve missed it. Or for those who want to save 55 cents in tolls or don’t have an I-Pass, just stay on 41 past Lake Cook Rd/Edens Spur until you get to just before Wadsworth Rd.
